What a wild year 2023 was!
We launched Battle Brick Road 2 on August 25th and quickly shot to over $20k in funding. As of writing this we are nearly double that and very close to our $40k FAN ART CONTEST stretch goal.
Where are we in terms of artwork? As of this writing 38 out of 64 pages have been fully drawn. That includes the entirety of the first chapter of Battle Brick Road 2. Those pages are currently in the flatting/coloring stage, and we'll update with more information when we have it. Here is a (blurry) teaser image of 32 of those 38 pages. If all goes well, we should be wrapped with the line art in April, and off to the printers late spring.
As for the Poster book?
We have two out of ten of those pieces completed with others currently being drawn (and painted!) Both Jose Garcia and Rod Luper have turned their pieces in for that book. We'll have more artwork coming in from other artists soon!
What about those stretch goals?
The first two stretch goals have been unlocked, and we're VERY close to the third. Trading cards for both Lion and Tin Man will be a part of everyone's orders. And once we hit $40k in funding, we'll officially announce the rules and prizes for our Battle Brick Road 2 fan art contest. We saw some really great pieces for the first campaign, so this go around is sure to be even more exciting!
